Their Lives
Many of Africa's rural poor live on less than 50 cents per day and struggle to raise foodcrops in poor quality soil on semi-arid land. The families KOMAZA works with are trapped in a cycle of extreme poverty—very low incomes make it impossible to invest in improving their lives and their children's future.

Our families simply want an opportunity to work their way out of extreme poverty, and families invest in their own income-generating activities whenever given the opportunity. The Perfect Investment
Tree farming is the perfect investment for poor rural families living on semi-arid land. Unlike many traditional crops, KOMAZA's trees thrive in the environments where our families live and can be sold at a high profit. We partner with farm families to remove the barriers erected by poverty that prevent them from maintaining a successful tree farm.
