Tevis Howard, KOMAZA's founder, was chosen as fellow a by the Draper Richards Foundation. The funding and business mentoring which accompany this fellowship are being used to build KOMAZA's capacity and expand our operations. The highly selective program admits only six new fellows each year.

Rainer Arnhold Fellows Program

KOMAZA's founder, Tevis Howard, has also been selected as a Rainer Arnhold Fellow. This fellowship program provides funding along with very comprehensive advice and support. The program has afforded KOMAZA valuable networking and training opportunities.

The Foundation for Sustainable Development offers its fiscal sponsorship to KOMAZA. Through this partnership, we are able to accept tax-deductible donations in the USA under the foundation's 501(c)(3) status.

Kenya Forestry Department

The Kenya Forestry Department is a division of Kenya's Ministry of Environment and National Resources and a member of the Kenya Forest Service. KOMAZA works closely with the department's Kilifi office, which helps us extend our services to farm families across Kilifi while offering valuable technical assistance for our tree farming project.

Rainer Arnhold Fellows Program

Tree Biotechnology Project

Kenya's Tree Biotechnology Project is an initiative of the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-Biotech Applications and several partner organizations. The project has partnered with KOMAZA to offer us their special breeds of Eucalyptus trees, which are fast-growing as well as disease and drought resistant. The TBP also offers its technical advice and assistance.

Kenya Forestry Research Institute

The Kenya Forestry Research Institute is Kenya's premier forestry research organization. KOMAZA's partnership with KEFRI allows us to leverage their wealth of local forestry knowledge. Most significantly, KEFRI has provided technical assistance for our farm site selection and agroforestry intercropping practices.

One Acre Fund

One Acre Fund is a non-profit organization which also works with chronically poor rural families to improve their farms' success. OAF and KOMAZA currently engage in frequent sharing of management and operational tools, and OAF has offered us valuable strategic consulting advice.
